FundMesa is what GrantHub could have been.
Built for the same audience GrantHub served — small to mid-size nonprofit grant teams who need a real tool, not enterprise overkill. Plus everything GrantHub couldn't do.
What GrantHub did well
GrantHub was approachable. The interface didn't try to be everything; it focused on the core grantseeker workflow — track funders, track applications, hit deadlines, file reports. Real nonprofits used it for over a decade because it didn't get in their way.
The deadline reminders were clear. The pipeline view was simple. The pricing was reachable for small-to-mid orgs in a way that enterprise grants tools never were. That focus is the thing FundMesa is trying to keep — a real tool for the same audience, without the bloat that creeps in when a product chases enterprise contracts.
Foundant's team built a product that earned its customers' trust. The sunset isn't a product failure.
What's changing
Foundant Technologies will sunset GrantHub Pro on January 31, 2026. After that date, the product is unavailable. The decision was made by Foundant's ownership; the GrantHub product team built something nonprofits relied on for over a decade.
Export your data before January 31, 2026, or you'll lose access entirely. There's no extension, no read-only mode after the sunset. Whatever's in your GrantHub account on that date is what you have — and only if you've exported it.

FundMesa Team ($599/mo) is in the same range as the upper end of GrantHub Pro ($349/mo) — but includes everything GrantHub didn't (budget tracking, AI extraction, audit logs, integrations, approval workflow). At the Starter tier ($149/mo), FundMesa is between GrantHub Pro's tiers with more features than GrantHub ever shipped. And no implementation fee — the 30-day trial is the implementation.
What FundMesa adds
Budget tracking. Budget lines per grant, imported expenses tagged by category, reporting periods with metrics, and deliverables tracking with due dates. The whole post-award workflow that GrantHub never had — done inside the same tool you use for the pre-award pipeline.
AI document intake. Drop an RFP and FundMesa drafts a grant record with deadlines, eligibility, and budget caps extracted. Drop an award letter, get budget lines and reporting deadlines. Drop a contract, get deliverables and reporting dates. Every extraction is reviewed before it's saved and every output is auditable.
Audit log + compliance reports. Every change tracked, exportable on demand. Compliance report generates from your real data rather than a spreadsheet someone manually updated. When a federal funder or auditor asks what happened to that disbursement, you have an answer in seconds.
Approval workflow + comments. Threaded comments and @-mentions on every grant. Approval workflow so a draft doesn't go out without the executive director seeing it. Four permission roles so program staff can update what they own without seeing the rest of the portfolio.
Integrations. QuickBooks Online for expense and reimbursement data. Calendar feeds (ICS) for Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar. CSV import and export for everything, audit log included.
What might feel different
More features means more surface area. FundMesa has a real learning curve compared to GrantHub's deliberately small footprint — budget lines, reporting periods, custom fields, saved views, four user roles. The trade-off is that the things that used to live in spreadsheets or in someone's inbox now live in the tool. That's net better, but it takes a week to settle in.
Pricing sits in the same range as the upper end of GrantHub Pro ($95–$349/mo plus a $750 implementation fee). FundMesa Team is $599/mo with no implementation fee, and the bundle includes things that would have been extra cost elsewhere (QuickBooks integration, AI extraction, audit log, approval workflow). The Starter tier at $149/mo lands between GrantHub Pro's tiers for solo grant writers and small teams.

Frequently asked
When exactly is GrantHub sunsetting?
January 31, 2026. After that, the product is unavailable. Export your data before then.
Will FundMesa import my GrantHub data?
Yes. The field-mapping wizard handles status translations, grant types, funder records, deadlines, custom fields, and attachments. See the dedicated migration page for details.
Is there a migration discount?
Yes — code GH2026 gives 3 months free on any annual FundMesa plan when used before January 31, 2026. The first 25 organizations also get white-glove migration assistance.
What if I need free?
Honest answer: there isn't a free tool that does what GrantHub did. A spreadsheet won't survive staff turnover. Instrumentl Discover at $299/mo is discovery-only. FundMesa Starter at $149/mo is the closest replacement at the lowest tier.
Why should I trust you?
FundMesa is independently owned, not PE-backed, and built on sustainable subscription revenue rather than a path to acquisition. Every customer record exports to CSV in one click. If we ever go away, you walk away with everything.
