Is there really a free trial?
Yes — 30 days of full access, and no credit card needed to start. Subscribe whenever you're ready during the trial; there's no card on file, so there is nothing to cancel and no surprise charge, ever. If the trial ends before you subscribe, your workspace becomes read-only — your data stays put and still exports to CSV with one click — until you do.
What does Starter include?
Everything you need to manage a small grant portfolio: unlimited grants and funders, deadline tracking with email reminders, calendar sync via ICS (works in Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar), CSV import from your existing spreadsheet, and CSV export. The limit is users — Starter covers up to 3 people. Bigger team? You'll want Team (up to 15).
Why does Pro cost double Team?
Pro removes the seat cap entirely, carries five times Team's AI document-processing allowance, and comes with phone and Zoom support plus a guided onboarding session. Sage Intacct integration is on the roadmap for Pro (no date committed). It's built for larger nonprofits ($5M+ revenue) running many concurrent awards with a bigger team in the system.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes — upgrade or downgrade any time. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. No "talk to sales" required for any plan change below Enterprise.
Do you offer nonprofit discounts?
FundMesa is already built for and priced for nonprofits — the listed prices already reflect that. We don't do generic "20% off for nonprofits" discounts because every customer is a nonprofit. If you're a federation or coalition with multiple member orgs, contact us about an Enterprise arrangement.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You can export everything at any time: per-section CSV downloads plus a one-click, org-wide JSON export covering grants, funders, budgets, expenses, deadlines, deliverables, the activity log, and attachment records (the attachment files themselves stay individually downloadable). After cancellation, we keep your data for 30 days in case you change your mind, then permanently delete it. We never sell or share customer data — see our Privacy policy for the full statement.
